誦咒靈驗 VERIFICATIONS OF THE NUMINOUS POWER OF THE MANTRA
京都劉世隆,妻孫氏,四十無子,許誦此咒一萬二千遍,施送聖像一千貳百張,果得一子
Liu Shilong of the Capital, and his wife, maiden name Sun were 40 & childless. They made a vow to recite this mantra 12,000 times, and distribute 1200 copies of the Sacred image. They had a son.
微州,許元,貧苦异常,欲投江河自盡,忽見一老人曰:‘誠誦大士咒,天自來佑,出袖中一卷示之去。許元誦咒无怠,後竟成富室
Xu Yuan of Huizhou,was incredibly poor. He wanted to drown himself in the river. He suddenly saw an old man, who said to him ‘sincerely recite The Great One's mantra; Heaven's protection would come to you'. He produced a scroll [containing the mantra] from his sleeve, and left. Xu Yuan chanted the mantra diligently. Later, he became wealthy.
河南王永春,少年患病,自諒不壽,惟日誦此咒,并常印送,後壽至九十而終
Wang Yongchun of Henan was afflicted with illness whilst young. He felt he would not live long. He daily chanted only this mantra, and often made copies of it to distribute. He lived to the age of 90.
奉化、王陳氏,年三十歲無子,店中生意人清淡,夫婦憂急。有親戚,顧性至伊家,說起大士咒,有求必應,王即欣然從之,至今財丁二旺矣
Mrs Wang, maiden surname Chen, of Fenghua, was 30. She had no children. Business at her shop was slack. Husband and wife were most sad and anxious. A concerned relative came to her house, and spoke of the Great One’s mantra, and of its effectiveness. Wang was delighted, and immediately started practicing it. Till now, she has both a full store of wealth and children.
大興、孝女李氏,父病甚危,許持此咒一萬二千遍,印送一千二百長,父病即愈。
Ms. Li of Daxing, was a filial daughter. Her father was dangerously ill. She vowed to chant this mantra 12,000 times, and print 1200 copies [of this mantra]. Her father promptly recovered.
寧波,俞氏,年二十八歲,遍身患瘡,屢醫無效,得此圖,誦咒一萬二千遍,印送大士圖一千貳百張,果然,不多日諸瘡即失,真神力也。後生二子一女,皆聰明伶俐。
Ms Yu of Ningbo was 28. Her whole body was afflicted with boils. Many doctors had tried to treat it, with no result. She got this picture, and chanted the mantra 12,000 times, and distributed 1200 copies of the Great One’s image. Not many days later every one of her boils was gone—the true divine power indeed. After, she gave birth to two sons and a daughter, all most intelligent.
申江,張志逸,於日寇侵華期中,為人陷害,身系囹圄,心煩意亂,欲出不得,忽憶誦此咒可免災禍,乃日夕此誦,
During the Japanese Invasion of China, Zhang Zhiyi of Shenjiang was framed. He was imprisoned. He was most distressed, for he wished to be released, but could not. Suddenly, he recalled that this mantra can allow one to escape disasters. He then recited this mantra night and day.
超過一萬二千遍時,夜夢囚禁之鐵門,竟然大開,日霧繚繞,醒後私念,認為不久或可恢復自由,然而未敢深信,六七日後,果被法院判綬刑面立即釋出,
After chanting this mantra over 12000 times, he dreamed that the iron gate of the prison suddenly opened, with sun and clouds surrounding it. After waking he recalled this, and reckoned that he would soon regain his liberty—but yet he did have his doubts. Six or seven days later, he was brought before the court. The court suspended his sentence, and let him go.
尤其者,在由檢查署解送去法院途中,鐵手梏依自動解脫, 乃同行數十人中,唯一有此之人也,謂非佛佑而何?
Most remarkably, on his journey to the court, his handcuffs opened by themselves. Of the 10s of people on this same journey, this event only happened to him. How could it not be, other than through the Buddha’s protetction?
